  2. RTK is short for real time kinematics. A GPS receiver capable of RTK takes in the normal signals from the Global Navigation Satellite Systems along with a correction stream to achieve 1cm positional accuracy. GNSS includes satellites from GPS (USA), GLONASS (Russia), Beidou (China), and Galileo (Europe).

RTK is a technique used to improve the accuracy of a standalone GNSS receiver. Traditional GNSS receivers, like the one in a smartphone, could only determine the position with 2-4 meters (7-13 feet) accuracy. RTK can give you centimeter accuracy.

RTK is an advanced GPS-correction technology that stands for real-time kinematic. It corrects location data in images during a UAV ’ s flight. And, it doesn’t require any post processing of the data location, or metadata.

The RTK Module enables precision data collection with RTK - especially important for surveying missions. It is used in conjunction with TimeSync 2.0: A position syncronisation system which aligns the Mavic 3 Enterprise Series' camera flight controller, RTK Module and gimbal at the micro-second level.

WEBNov 24, 2022 — What is RTK? RTK and traditional GNSS positioning measure distance to satellites in a different way; RTK uses carrier-based ranging whereas GNSS positioning uses code-based ranging.
