    • If your doctor has prescribed this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

    Precautions

    • Do not use with other acetaminophen products.
    • May make you drowsy or dizzy. Drive with caution
    • Avoid alcohol/other drugs that make you sleepy
    • Call doctor if you are not getting better
    • Do not take more medicine than is recommended
    • Avoid other medicines containing the same drug
    • For capsule products : Check age restrictions before use in children. Avoid taking with MAOI- type antidepressants.
    • For liquid products : Measure dose using a dosing spoon/cup/syringe.
    • For tablet, extended release products : Unless MD directs, do not use in kids less than 12. Do not chew or crush. OK to split tablet if scored.
    • For tablet, chewable products : Unless MD directs, do not use in kids less than 6. Chew medicine completely before swallowing.

    Warnings

    • May cause drowsiness. Alcohol and marijuana may intensify this effect. Use care when operating a vehicle, vessel (e.g., boat), or machinery.
    • Contains Acetaminophen. Don't use with other drugs that contain Acetaminophen (prescription or nonprescription) unless doctor approves. Too much can cause liver damage
    • Do not drink alcoholic beverages when using this medication.
    • May cause dizziness
    • May cause blurred vision
    • For powder in packet products : Do not take other ACETAMINOPHEN containing products at the same time without first checking with your doctor. Check all medicine labels carefully.
    • For tablet, extended release products : Do not chew or crush before swallowing.
    • For tablet, chewable products : Chew this medication before swallowing.
    • For tablet, chewable products : Consult your doctor or pharmacist before breastfeeding.
