Soon, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will both come back to Xbox Game Pass. This news came out during the new GTA Online Event Week. The official Xbox Newswire reads:

Xbox Game Pass decided that the day of the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct would be the right day to drop a new collection of games – it was wrong, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth paying attention to.

Microsoft has unveiled a list of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, revealing a strong lineup of first- and third-party games, including South of Midnight,

Southern folklore, stop-motion animation and a giant catfish all come together to create the whimsical and magical world of South of Midnight. Game Pass subscribers can play South of Midnight and more games in April.

It's looking increasingly likely that one of the highest-rated games of all time is coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.

Reports suggest that Rockstar is about to fully embrace Xbox Game Pass with GTA 5, and we won't have to wait long for it.

Update [Thu 3rd Apr 2025, 7:37am]: It's official! GTA 5 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on April 15th, with the console version being available for both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass Standard members. Here's a bit more about it (via Xbox Wire ):
