The Eagles are parting ways with their pep band, the group of musicians who serenade the stadium on Sundays and helped make “Fly, Eagles Fly” the unofficial anthem of Philadelphia. The band started in 1996 and traveled with the team last month to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

The Eagles Pep Band, which has been with the team for 28 seasons, is being "let go," a member of the group said on Wednesday.

The Eagles organization is keeping "Fly, Eagles Fly," but after 28 seasons, it's parting ways with the pep band that made the anthem what it is today.
