While plot details for the Man of Steel's newest cinematic outing are scarce, Superman writer-director and DC Studios co-head James Gunn was recently given an Action Comics #1 reprint as a gift.

Chief among these is a reprint of the first issue of Action Comics #1. This comic contained the first Superman story by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster in 1938.
