Qualcomm has confirmed that it'll be holding a launch event this week, and the company says we should brace for new flagship-tier chips.

In October 2025 Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite, making a switch in its mobile hardware and putting the Oryon chip at its core (pardon the pun). That hardware has poured into flagship devices like the OnePlus 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, but now Qualcomm is preparing for what comes next.

Qualcomm has scheduled a product launch event in China on April 2nd. There’s no official word regarding the name of the chip Qualcomm will unveil at the event. However, the reports indicate that the company could launch the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 or Snapdragon 8s Elite at the event later this week.
