Mobile police shot at a driver who tried to hit a person and an officer with a stolen skid-steer loader before striking a patrol vehicle during a chase Thursday morning, a police spokesman said.

UPDATE (12:35 p.m.): News 5’s Asher Redd has spoken with a witness of the slow skid-steer chase on Interstate 10 in Mobile. The witness said he heard eight to nine gunshots during the event.
