We now have more confirmed updates from our Nintendo Switch 2 Direct live coverage. The system's Joy-Con 2 controllers, as speculated, will feature mouse controls, which may seem like a Nintend-ified gimmick, but actually interests me a lot as someone who reviews gamepads.

Though nothing has been announced, it’s likely that MLB The Show will eventually come to the Switch 2 as well. Despite ditching the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with its latest release, MLB The Show 25, the game is still compatible with the original Switch, which has likely held back the series’ progress.

Of course the Switch wouldn’t be the success it has been without its biggest games. In its first year, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe helped the console find a massive audience.
