Luckily, SK hynix heard the criticisms and is now offering a 2TB version of the Beetle X31. SK hynix has not made any drastic changes to the Beetle X31's design or feature set for this 2TB version.

That alone makes it worthy of recommendation, and with a 2TB model now available, this is the best time to pick up the X31. Overall, I think SK Hynix is onto a winner with the Beetle X31.
