After a long wait and a bunch of disappointing straight-to-DVD sequels, Starship Troopers is still trying to live forever with a theatrical reboot now in development.

A reboot of 'Starship Troopers' is in the works at Sony, with 'District 9' and 'Chappie' director Neill Blomkamp attached to helm.

Blomkamp will also produce the film alongside his wife and frequent collaborator, Terri Tatchell, who worked with him on Chappie. Blomkamp has a longstanding relationship with Sony, having directed the sci-fi hits District 9,

Sony Pictures is working on a new Starship Troopers movie with Gran Turismo filmmaker Neill Blomkamp - and to be clear, this is completely separate from Sony Pictures' Helldivers film, which was announced earlier this year.
