It will have eight species commonly caught in Rhode Island waters: black sea bass, summer flounder (fluke), American lobster, quahog, longfin squid, Jonah crab, scup (porgy), and channeled whelk.
Among other seafood, the plate displays lobster, squid and, of course, a quahog. It was designed by Andrew Lloyd Goodman, an assistant professor at the Community College of Rhode Island.
