In the Rangers’ case, the “T” sat in the middle of “TEXAS” to block out the X and create an inadvertent visual of a Spanish slang vulgarity for women’s breasts. While some other hats in the collection appeared to create other potentially questionable or funny malaprops, the Rangers hat was the only one apparently pulled from the collection.

An embarrassing oversight seemingly forced New Era to pull the Texas Rangers’ new cap design for their Overlap 5950 collection after it inadvertently featured Spanish slang for a woman’s breasts. The recently released collection was for all 30 MLB teams,

A hat was pulled from the Rangers and MLB online stores after a mashup of the team's cap and jersey logos created the appearance of a vulgar word in Spanish.

The cap was pulled from both the MLB and Rangers online stores, which are operated by Fanatics. WFAA has reached out to the Texas Rangers about the whole debacle, but we have not heard back as of the time of publishing.

The Texas Rangers took an item off their virtual marketplace after it was realized that the language on the cap could be misinterpreted.

Although the Rangers hat is the only one to disappear as of Monday night, other teams also have questionable results from the Overlap design. The Houston Astros hat reads “Ashos.” The Los Angeles Angels hat reads “Anaels.
