Microsoft launched its AI-powered Security Copilot a year ago to bring a chatbot to the cybersecurity space, and now it’s expanding it with AI agents that are designed to autonomously assist overwhelmed security teams. Microsoft is unveiling six of its own AI agents for its Security Copilot, as well as five that have been created by its partners

Microsoft will launch next month new Security Copilot AI agents designed to help organizations address cybersecurity threats.

Launched last April, Security Copilot is a specialized version of Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant. It enables cybersecurity professionals to surface data about breaches using natural language prompts. Security Copilot also automates several related tasks, such as the process of setting up access controls for employee devices.

The new tools will help detect the most urgent risks faster, from phishing emails to potential insider threats.

SUSE, known for its enterprise-grade Linux distribution, said that the Security Copilot correlates SUSE Security data with other data sources within Sentinel to identify complex and sophisticated attacks. This allows customers to proactively address potential threats based on the recommendations.
