Michigan State Spartans head coach Tom Izzo was irked by questions about the transfer portal as his team prepared for the Sweet 16 in March Madness.

Michigan State basketball trailed at half, then used its depth to rally past New Mexico into the NCAA tournament Sweet 16.

Jaden Akins scored 16 points, including a 3-pointer that put Michigan State ahead to stay, and coach Tom Izzo took the Spartans to the Sweet 16 for the 16th time with a 71-63 victory over New Mexico.
