Macy's to close 5 stores in DFW as part of larger retail culling
The DFW locations that are closing are at Fairview Town Center, Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Southlake Town Square, WestBend in Fort Worth and the Highlands of Flower Mound. Only one other store in Texas was on the list — at Almeda Mall in Houston. These locations are expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.

In the latest step in its revitalization effort, Macy's has named 66 of the 150 stores it plans to close in the next two years. The move is "designed to return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth," the department store chain said in a news release Thursday.

In all, 64 Macy's stores in several states, including Florida, New York, California, and Pennsylvania, are set to close, according to a listing of online closures. Most stores are expected to close in the first three months of 2025. The list of closings can be found here.
