Officers said they responded to a suspect at 12:30 a.m. on Monday on Dorman Centre Drive who was reported to be striking shopping carts in a parking lot with a large machete and waving it in the air.

Assistant State's Attorney Elizabeth Moran said at the arraignment that Norris drove across the country back to his hometown, armed with a "large machete," with the intent to harm a family member.
