After our preview some time ago, Andrew has had some time with the Asus Chakram mouse - which comes with a joystick onboard.

[Nicolas] has joined each string with its own 2 axis joystick from Adafruit ... translates the output from the mouse into something the computer likes. The code is available on his GitHub.
