Nancy Wilson of the popular rock band Heart has come under fire for claiming it’s “more embarrassing than ever” to be an American. The “Barracuda” singer, 71, made the controversial claim during an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel earlier this month, but it finally started making waves on X Monday, March 24.

Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson has said she’s more embarrassed to be an American than she was around the time of the Vietnam War. The Washington-born musician, 71, joined Heart with her sister, Ann, in one of the first major female-fronted hard rock bands in the early Seventies.
