Harvard undergraduate tuition will be free for students from families making $200,000 or less, starting next fall, the university announced Monday in its latest effort to provide an Ivy League education to those who might otherwise be priced out.

In November, MIT announced that students whose families make less than $200,000 will be able to attend tuition-free this fall. Similarly to Harvard, students whose families make less than $100,000 will pay nothing at all. Those income limits are from previous limits of $140,000 and $75,000 respectively.

The Ivy League school joins other prestigious colleges, including UPenn, in raising income limits for free tuition and other supports.

For students whose family income is $100,000 or below, the new plan will cover even more expenses beyond tuition.

Free Harvard tuition will now be offered to students from families with incomes of $200,000 or less—and include housing for $100,000 or less.
