HP is sprucing up its Omen gaming brand with new iterations of its flagship Omen 16 laptop—featuring fresh silicon from AMD, Intel, and Nvidia—plus an appealing compact tower, the Omen 16L.

The OMEN lineup has been HP's gaming go-to for years, and it incorporates several tiers of PCs to accommodate all types of users. Last year's high-end OMEN Transcend laptops came at us with more premium features and a sleeker design than its standard OMEN siblings, but it sacrificed raw power to keep itself relatively thin and light.

HP only has one all-new laptop in its Omen gaming line to show off at CES 2025, but it looks like a doozy because the company claims it’s the most powerful 16-inch notebook it has ever made. The Omen Max 16 looks like HP took a standard Omen 16 (which is retaining the same design but getting refreshed with new components for 2025) and then crammed in as many high-end components as it could.
