Environmental groups and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are seeking help from the public in investigating the killing this month of a gray wolf near Sisters.

Gray wolf 2505-BC from Colorado died in Wyoming, involving potential livestock conflicts and complex wildlife conservation challenges.

Five sheep had been killed and investigators found evidence of wolf presence, including wolf tracks and bite marks on carcasses consistent with wolves.

A collared gray wolf was killed by federal wildlife officials in Wyoming and stock growers in both states have questions. Gabby Easterwood has the story.
