The new games, Rhythm Heaven Groove and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, are entries for franchises launched on older Nintendo consoles -- the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 3DS, respectively. Neither has had a new game in a decade.

Nintendo made a lot of announcements during its big Switch 2 Direct. There's a decent lineup of games at launch, and even more games on the way.

The Post's Gene Park got to demo the Nintendo Switch 2 at an event in NYC. The new console has updated graphics and the ability to play Switch 1 games.
