CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Frito-Lay is set to expand its presence in Clarksville with the addition of a new distribution center. The company recently purchased an 8-acre site in the South Industrial Park area for the project.

Frito-Lay has decided to expand its operations in Clarksville after recently submitting site plans for a distribution center off Corporate Parkway Boulevard.

The expansion represents a $27 million investment into the Clarksville-Montgomery County community, according to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board.

Frito-Lay is taking a bigger helping at its Middle Tennessee operations. A popular food brand is expanding its local operations. Frito-Lay North America has added to its footprint in Clarksville, according to a news release.
