F21 OpCo, operator of the low-cost clothing brand, says stores will remain open while it begins winding down operations.

"As we move through the process, we will work diligently to minimize the impact on our employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders."

The company, which helped popularize fast fashion in the United States, has struggled to compete with online retailers. It is the company’s second bankruptcy filing in six years.
