DJI just presented the Flip drone as a new, compact, and foldable product ideal for portability and aerial selfies. The DJI Flip features a 1/1.3-inch image sensor for high-quality video recording and innovative propeller protection.

DJI has been extremely busy in 2024, releasing one successful product after another. One of these was the very well-received model, the compact DJI Neo, an ultra-affordable selfie drone with skills like no other DJI drone. It could follow you around and can be operated without a controller for one-tenth of the price of a new Mavic Series drone.

DJI today released a new family of palm-sized drones for vlogging, called Flip, with a dedicated privacy mode and other features, starting at $439. Thanks to a feature called Local Data Mode, you can operate your Flip while disconnected from the internet so that all data stays on-device.
