蘭Blender Foundationは3月18日（現地時間）、「Blender 4.4」を公開した。本バージョンでは新しいスカルプトブラシや、ジオメトリノードなどの新機能はあるものの、多岐に渡る既存の機能改善が中心となっている印象だ。

「Blender」は、オープンソースで開発されている2D/3Dコンテンツ制作ツール。ライセンスは「GNU General Public License」（GPL）で、誰でも無償で利用できる。対応プラットフォームはWindows、Mac、Linuxなどで、現在「blender.org」からダウンロード可能。Windows版のインストーラーは窓の杜ライブラリからもダウンロードできる。
