A polar bear cub named Nur was introduced in Sao Paulo on Thursday, marking a historic milestone as the first polar bear born in Latin America, according to the Sao Paulo Aquarium, where she resides.

Among Aurora's other cubs were Nora, born Nov. 6, 2015, the zoo's first cub in 27 years to survive, as well as Neva and Nuniq, the only polar bear cubs born in a North American zoo in 2016.
