Dollar General shoppers are clearing the shelves as the discount retailer readies to close 450 stores nationwide with huge discounts on their remaining inventory.

Dollar General has announced it is closing almost 100 locations across the US this year. The chain of discount stores in its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2024 report stated that it conducted a portfolio optimization review of its Dollar General and pOpshelf stores to identify ones to shutter or re-banner based on their current and expected performance and operating conditions.
