Nintendo will reportedly release its Switch successor this June. It is also claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost from $400 to $499 at launch. Analysts have agreed with a former Nintendo employee on the potential release window for the forthcoming Switch 2.

“The original Switch’s Nvidia chip is estimated to cost $80 per unit, while the Switch 2’s chip is likely to be in the $130-$150 range,” Toyo Securities analyst Hideki Yasuda said in the story. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo goes ahead with $499.”

Analysts believe that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be more expensive than the original with the price being closer to that of its competitors.
