Thankfully because of that pantry stock list, I knew I had a full bottle of sesame seeds on hand. I found a recipe for honey cookies at PreppyKitchen.com to use as a jumping-off point and got to work.
The sesame seeds will add crunch, and their toasty flavor isn't overpowering, but will complement the other flavors of the cookie well, especially the chocolate or any brown butter notes in the dough.
