Nearly 350 hostages were rescued at the end of a deadly standoff between Pakistan’s military and armed militants who hijacked a train in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan, a security source told CNN Wednesday.

The Jaffar Express, carrying 440 passengers, was hijacked by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) members when it was going from Quetta to Peshawar.

At least 30 attackers were killed in the operation, which was led by Pakistan Army’s elite commandos and involved the Pakistan Air Force’s drone technology.
