Max Verstappen has confirmed that he plans to continue his media protest during the United States Grand Prix, telling FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem that while he is willing to discuss the matter, the onus is on him to engage in talks.

After qualifying at the same event, Verstappen refused to answer questions in the official FIA media conference which followed, instead holding an impromptu media session with journalists in the paddock immediately afterwards.

Max Verstappen has continued to argue against the FIA's viewpoint regarding the press conference. The Dutchman doesn't believe the press conference will be watched by young children and argues they hear worse at their school.
