Hawaii County police said the suspect in an officer involved shooting is dead after a shootout occurred Sunday afternoon with officers on Ihope Road in Mountain View. Christopher Lucrisia, 39, was the subject of an island-wide manhunt after allegedly shooting and wounding a police officer Friday.

Two federal agencies on Saturday each offered $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Lucrisia, a convicted felon who is accused of shooting a police officer in the head and forearm Friday during an attempted arrest in Hilo related to incidents on Monday and Wednesday in Mountain View.

Hawaii Island police are warning the community to be on the lookout for the suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting at Prince Kuhio Plaza.
