Air India said on Tuesday that all staff, including top management, would travel in economy from April 1 to free up seats for paying customers, as the airline works on improving its image following criticism over flight delays.

The announcement comes days after former Australian cricketer David Warner slammed the airline for being forced to board the flight without pilots, which caused hours of delay

Air India, formerly a state-owned airline, was taken over by the Tata Group in 2022. Since then, the airline has been undergoing a major transformation.
